Visit Qatar has signed a one-year strategic partnership agreement with Satguru Travel & Tours at World Travel Market (WTM) London 2026 to increase leisure visitation to Qatar from six priority African markets.

The agreement builds on a memorandum of understanding signed at World Travel Market (WTM) 2025, establishing a framework for joint destination promotion and tourism development.

Under the agreement, the partners will collaborate on destination marketing, travel trade engagement, travel package development and visitor facilitation across the African continent. Campaigns will focus on four themes: Sports & Competitions, Winter Sun & Outdoors, Family & Festive, and Culture & Celebration.

Satguru, which operates in more than 80 countries and has a physical presence in 42 African countries, will lead market activation, trade engagement and package development, while Visit Qatar will provide destination content, campaign direction and the events calendar.

The partnership supports Qatar’s ambition to establish tourism as a key driver of economic growth and diversification. By strengthening its presence across eleven priority markets spanning the African continent, Visit Qatar aims to expand the destination’s international reach, build stronger relationships with travel trade partners and create new opportunities to attract leisure visitors to Qatar.
