Doha, Qatar – 3 February 2026: SANAD – DOHA, in collaboration <a href="https://gulfeyenews.com/dukhan-bank-signs-exploratory-mou-with-paylater-to-assess-deferred-payment-solutions/”>with Doha Design District (DDD), opened the art exhibition ‘Between the Majlis and the Gallery’, marking two years since the founding of SANAD – DOHA and reaffirming the shared vision of both entities to position Doha as a vibrant hub for art, culture, and design.

Held at SANAD – DOHA in Doha Design District at Msheireb Downtown Doha, the private evening brought together VIPs, dignitaries, members of the creative community, and key stakeholders, offering an immersive cultural experience that bridges tradition and contemporary artistic expression.

The exhibition features works by 15 artists across three participating galleries, creating a dynamic dialogue between the intimacy of the Majlis and the formal setting of the gallery. Through this collaboration, SANAD – DOHA and Doha Design District continue to support local talent while fostering meaningful engagement between artists, designers, collectors, and the wider cultural community.

The event also included a private gathering of participating artists, gallery representatives, and VIP guests, reinforcing SANAD and DDD’s role as conveners within Qatar’s cultural ecosystem. A key highlight of the evening was the reveal of a new art piece by renowned Qatari artist Ismail Azzam, commissioned to mark SANAD’s second anniversary. The unveiling underscored SANAD’s commitment to championing artistic expression and embedding art at the core of its identity.

Additional curated experiences, including a private studio tour at the studio of Mr. Yousef Ahmad, will take place as part of the extended programme that will run until 7 February.

Commenting on the occasion, Fahad Monjid, Co-Founder & Designer of SANAD – DOHA, said: ‘This exhibition is part of Sanad’s ongoing mission to support and spotlight local artists and galleries, while contributing to Doha’s evolving cultural landscape. We extend our sincere thanks to Doha Design District for their partnership and shared commitment to supporting local creative practice.’

Dana Kazic, Director of Doha Design District stated: ‘This collaboration with SANAD – DOHA reflects Doha Design District’s mission to support creative-led initiatives that bring together art, design, and community. By hosting exhibitions such as Between the Majlis and the Gallery, we continue to strengthen the cultural infrastructure that enables creativity to thrive and positions Doha as a destination for contemporary cultural exchange.’

As Qatar’s leading creative ecosystem, Doha Design District continues to play a central role in nurturing cultural dialogue, interdisciplinary collaboration, and creative innovation. As a hub for art, design, fashion, and entrepreneurship, DDD provides a dynamic platform for initiatives that connect local talent with institutions, partners, and the wider public. The collaboration with SANAD reflects a shared commitment to developing sustainable cultural infrastructure and creating meaningful spaces where creativity, community, and contemporary culture intersect.

Located within Doha Design District, SANAD- DOHA benefits from its position within a creative and design-led environment that encourages collaboration, dialogue, and cultural exchange. Together, SANAD and DDD continue to create platforms that nurture creativity and elevate Qatar’s art and design landscape.
