    Morocco’s Colis.ma secures $300,000 pre-Seed from Witamax

Colis.ma, a leading Moroccan startup specialising in cross-border logistics, has successfully closed its pre-seed funding round, raising $300,000 from Moroccan private-backed venture capital firm Witamax.

This funding will enable Colis to strengthen its coverage of the five largest regions of Morocco, as well as six prominent European countries, with plans to further expand on the African side, starting with West Africa.

Since its founding in 2022 by CEO and founder Issam Darui, Colis.ma has experienced rapid growth, delivering over 50,000 parcels to more than 55 destinations across six European countries in less than two years and growing fivefold within the last 12 months. The company also achieved a remarkable 380% growth in annual recurring revenue in 2023, compared to 2022. Colis.ma aims to revolutionise logistics for individuals and small-to-medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) by offering fast, reliable, and efficient parcel delivery services. Colis.ma targets individuals with family connections between Morocco and Europe and SMEs in sectors such as cosmetics, artisanal goods, and organic products. Its vision is to connect even more SMEs from various sectors with their clients in Europe, and vice versa.

“We are extremely grateful to Witamax for supporting our vision from the start. This funding allows us to broaden our geographic coverage and further improve the quality of our services,” said Issam DARUI, CEO and founder of Colis. “Our goal is to become a key player in logistics between Africa and Europe, offering innovative technological solutions to a sector undergoing transformation.”

Colis works with a wide range of partners, including traditional and unorganised transporters. Using its internally developed technology solutions, the startup helps its partners optimise their operations while ensuring a higher quality of service for its clients.

“WITAMAX COMMENT”  Hiba Mrani Alaoui, General Partner at Witamax: “Colis is thriving and well positioned to become an incumbent in this field.”

Colis had previously raised $50,000 from the African investor The Baobab Network after joining their accelerator programme. In 2023, the startup had also participated in the Plug and Play Morocco Batch 4 Accelerator programme, and more recently, in February 2024, Colis won a $45,000 grant after successfully completing the Orange Corners programme. Several African and International venture capital firms have already expressed interest in joining Colis.ma’s upcoming fundraising round, which is scheduled for early 2026, underscoring the startup’s potential to capture more market share in the logistics sector.
