Doha, Qatar, February 21, 2026: Fifty One East, Qatar’s favourite department store, and Fnac Qatar, the leading leisure, culture and technology destination, proudly announced their continued sponsorship of two of the country’s most prestigious sporting events, the Qatar TotalEnergies Open and the Qatar ExxonMobil Open.

Fifty One East returned as the Official Retailer, while Fnac Qatar joined once again as the Official Technology Partner, reinforcing both brands’ dedication to supporting international sporting excellence in Qatar and contributing to the nation’s vibrant sports culture. As the tournaments’ Official Timekeeper, Rolex continues to play its longstanding role in ensuring precision and excellence throughout the competitions, further reinforcing the <a href="https://gulfeyenews.com/wcm-q-experts-call-for-a-global-rethink-on-statin-guidelines-for-older-adults/”>global prestige of these events.

The Qatar TotalEnergies Open, held from February 8 to February 14, once again brought together some of the world’s top female tennis players for a week of exceptional competition. This was followed by the Qatar ExxonMobil Open, held from February 16 to February 21, which welcomed leading international athletes and tennis fans from across the region and beyond to the Khalifa International Tennis and Squash Complex.

    Mr

Bader Al-Darwish, Chairman and Managing Director of Fifty One East, said: ‘We are proud to continue our partnership with the Qatar TotalEnergies Open and the Qatar ExxonMobil Open, two tournaments that have become defining fixtures on Qatar’s international sporting calendar. Supporting global sporting events of this caliber reflects our continued commitment to community engagement, excellence, and the development of sports culture in Qatar in alignment with Qatar National Vision 2030.’

He added, ‘We extend our sincere thanks to the Qatar Tennis Federation and all those involved in organizing these tournaments for their continuous efforts in elevating them year after year. Today, these competitions stand on par with other leading international sporting events, attracting tourists from across the region and around the world, and further strengthening Qatar’s position as a global destination for major sporting events.’

Throughout the tournaments, Fifty One East and Fnac Qatar brought engaging experiences to visitors at the Public Village, enhancing the fan journey both on and off the court. Fifty One East’s activation booth featured ‘Ace the Wall,’ an interactive tennis ball target game where participants tested their aim by shooting tennis balls into scoring zones for a chance to win prizes. Fnac Qatar hosted a registration desk experience, allowing lucky winners to receive tennis balls signed by tournament players.

Adding to the excitement, tennis balls were tossed to spectators during matches, with those who catch them receiving gift vouchers from Fifty One East and Fnac Qatar

In addition, Fifty One East proudly supported ‘Ace for Hope,’ a new initiative introduced during the Qatar ExxonMobil Open, through which USD 100 was donated for every Ace scored on the center court. As the first and only sponsor participating in this initiative, Fifty One East aims to extend the impact of the tournament beyond sport and into meaningful community support. All proceeds from this initiative went to Qatar Charity, a leading humanitarian organization dedicated to providing sustainable development programs, humanitarian relief, and social welfare support to communities in need both in Qatar and around the world.

By supporting these internationally recognized tournaments, Fifty One East and Fnac Qatar continue to celebrate sport as a unifying cultural experience, strengthening their connection with communities across Qatar while contributing to the country’s growing reputation as a favorite destination for leading sporting events.
