Doha, Qatar – 1 September 2026: A new dining season begins at the National Museum of Qatar (NMoQ) and the Museum of Islamic Art (MIA) as its signature restaurants return, each unveiling a new seasonal menu offering a distinct culinary experience. Jiwan, at NMoQ reopened on 30 August, followed by IDAM by Alain Ducasse, at the MIA, on 3 September.
At Jiwan, the season is expressed through harmony and contrast, with bold flavours, delicate textures and unexpected combinations in dishes designed to be shared. Available as a set menu or à la carte, highlights include amberjack with citrus, tahini, sun-dried tomato and peppered watercress; 12-hour lamb shoulder with mint and pomegranate molasses; and date mahalabia with chilli, balancing date and rose water with subtle spice.
“Every season brings the opportunity to tell a new culinary story,” said Julien Guilloret, Head Chef of Jiwan. “With this menu, we explore how contrasting flavours and textures come together in dishes that invite people to share and discover something new.”
At IDAM, “Ember & Tide” explores the interplay of fire and sea through precision, technique and craftsmanship. Available as a four-course lunch and an eight-course dinner, highlights include ‘Amberjack on the Embers’ with cime di rapa, bottarga and marinière sauce; seared wagyu beef with confit shallot and camel bacon cooking jus with blackcurrant; carabineros with elderflower, grilled eel and yuzu granité; and lightly smoked wild turbot with kristal caviar, sea-scented ‘foie gras’ and kombu vinaigrette.
“Through thoughtful technique, we transform and elevate each ingredient. Every dish is crafted with precision, allowing its natural character and flavours to take centre stage,” said Fabrice Rosso, Executive Chef of IDAM. “We want our guests to experience the refinement and attention to detail that define dining at IDAM.”
Both restaurants offer distinctive expressions of Qatar Museums’ dining experience, extending cultural discovery from the galleries to the table.
