    This August, Qatar Calendar presents a full programme of events, inviting residents to enjoy a month packed with family entertainment, cultural exhibitions, and international sporting fixtures. Spanning a wide range of interests, the month’s programme offers something for audiences of all ages across Doha and beyond.

    A vibrant family atmosphere continues throughout the month, with the Go Ninja Summer Camp running at The Gate Mall, 2nd Floor, from 14 June to 27 August, offering children an action-packed experience combining technology, creativity, and adventure. The Hangout at Msheireb Galleria, Msheireb Downtown Doha, remains open until 15 August, giving families a social space to relax, dine, and spend quality time together. Dana Club Summer Camp 2026 continues at Dana Club until 31 August, blending fitness, creativity, and fun in a safe environment, while OliOli®? Summer Camps at OliOli Children’s Museum runs until 27 August, offering jaw-dropping experiments and discoveries for young minds.

    The Hala Summer Malls Activation takes place across various malls from 1 July to 30 September, and the Colorverse Experience continues at Katara South Parking until 15 September, offering an immersive interactive adventure to help save the colours from the Munchers. The Doha Shopping Season 2026 runs at the Doha Exhibition and Convention Center from 23 July to 5 August, showcasing products from over 20 countries, while Summer Saturdays at Printemps Doha, Doha Oasis, continues from 25 July to 15 August with creative workshops for all ages.

    Families preparing for the new academic year can visit the Msheireb School Checklist 2026 – Aialna at Msheireb Galleria, Msheireb Downtown Doha, from 20 to 29 August, featuring workshops, activities, and rewards. Younger audiences can also enjoy the Paw Patrol Show by Nickelodeon at the Oasis Stage, Mall of Qatar, from 20 to 29 August.

    Sports enthusiasts have plenty to look forward to in August. Beat the Heat, a summer fitness and race series, runs across various locations until 11 September, and the MOQ Fit Club at Mall of Qatar continues until 19 September, keeping residents active with indoor sessions and rewards.

    The 3-2-1 Summer Sports Fun Factory 2026 continues at the Qatar Olympic and Sports Museum Activation Zone until 29 August, offering interactive sports experiences for the whole family, while the PSG Academy Summer Camp runs from 28 July to 27 August at the University of Doha for Science and Technology, Tariq bin Ziad School, and Lycée Voltaire, giving young footballers the chance to train with one of the world’s celebrated football academies.

    On 14 August, the Aspire Indoor Track hosts both the SFA Ladies Track Challenge 2026 and the SFA Track Challenge 2026, organised by the Qatar Sports For All Federation, offering empowering racing experiences for women and the wider community respectively. The FIVB Volleyball Boys’ U17 World Championship 2026 takes place in Doha from 19 to 29 August, bringing international youth volleyball competition to the city.

    Basketball fans can catch Qatar vs China in the FIBA Basketball World Cup 2027 Asian Qualifiers – Second Round on 27 August at Al-Gharafa Sports Club, while Run the Dome 2026, the first edition of a premier indoor running event, takes place at Aspire Dome on 28 and 29 August, combining competitive Speed Races with non-competitive Fun Runs.

    August also offers a strong programme for culture and the arts. Qatar Museums continues to present Countryside: A Place to Live, Not to Leave at Qatar Preparatory School and the National Museum of Qatar, running until December 2026, alongside A Sneak Peek at the Qatar Auto Museum Project at the National Museum of Qatar’s Mawater Gallery, offering an early glimpse into the future museum’s collection until 2 February 2027. The ‘Tunisian Postal Service – History and Stamps’ Exhibition continues at Building 22, Katara Cultural Village, until 31 October.

    The Msheireb Museums Summer Program at Bin Jalmoud House, Msheireb Downtown Doha, continues until 13 August, offering creative workshops for all age groups. The Museum of Islamic Art hosts the Workshop: Diwani Calligraphy (Intermediate) from 2 to 5 August, introducing participants to one of the most elegant Arabic scripts, developed by the Ottomans, alongside the MIA Summer Camp in Collaboration with Lekhwiya, a two-week educational and physical programme running from 2 to 13 August. Museum Explorer, an interactive journey through the museum’s treasures, runs at the 3-2-1 Qatar Olympic and Sports Museum from 3 to 12 August.

    Theatre lovers can enjoy the Layla and the Wolf Play at THIS Theatre Mesaimeer (The Doha Players Community Theatre) from 18 to 22 August, a beloved family story spanning generations. On 18 August, the Museum of Islamic Art Library also hosts Planet Teens Club, a monthly programme connecting the museum’s treasures with the mission to protect the planet.
