Doha, <a href="https://gulfeyenews.com/<a href="https://gulfeyenews.com/learn-drive-explore-soueast-helps-families-across-qatar-begin-the-new-school-year-with-exceptional-value/”>explore-qatars-top-family-friendly-summer-destinations/”>Qatar, 20th August 2026: King’s College Doha is proud to celebrate the outstanding achievements of its students during the 2025/2026 academic year. Through hard work, determination and commitment to excellence, students have delivered impressive results as they prepare for the next stage of their educational journeys.

King’s College Doha is celebrating an exceptional set of A Level results, with students achieving outstanding academic outcomes and securing places at leading universities in Qatar, Europe and across the UK.

An impressive 43% of all grades were awarded at A*–A, with 90% at A*–C and 100% at A*–E, results that reflect the ambition, determination and hard work of King’s students, alongside the dedication of the teachers who have supported them throughout their Sixth Form journey.

Among the many individual successes, Jumana Abouelghit achieved an exceptional three A* grades in English, History and Psychology, while Rania Faisal secured A*AA in Business, Economics and Geography. Jake Howeachieved an impressive A*A*B and both Jake and Jamana will continue their academic journey studying Law at Newcastle university in the UK.

Across the year group, students have secured places at a range of highly regarded universities in Qatar and internationally, including Newcastle University and Universities in Manchester and Liverpool, as they prepare to take the exciting next steps in their education.

Behind the headline grades lies an equally important story of individual progress. King’s College Doha places great emphasis on knowing every student, recognising their potential and supporting them to make consistent, incremental gains throughout the two-year A Level programme.

The impact of this personalised approach is demonstrated through the school’s impressive value-added outcomes, with many subjects seeing students achieve up to two grades higher than their starting-point predictions.

King’s College Doha is celebrating another impressive year of GCSE success, with students achieving outstanding individual results and strong outcomes across a broad range of subjects.

Across all GCSE examination entries, nearly half of grades were awarded at 9–7, equivalent to the former A*–A grades. 80% of all grades were at 9–5 or above, the recognised strong pass, while 92% were awarded at grades 9–4 or above, representing an increase of more than five percentage points on the school’s results last year, and 100% pass rate.

Among the many individual success stories were a number of exceptional performances. Adeena Shabbir, Samarjay Mitra, Mark Kinoti and Zeynep Gul were among the school’s highest achievers, each securing an outstanding nine GCSE grades at grades 8 or 9. Their achievements represent years of hard work, determination and commitment to their studies and reflect the very highest standards of academic excellence at King’s.

There was much to celebrate across individual subjects too. The sciences performed particularly strongly, with 60% of Chemistry grades awarded at 9–7, 57% in Physics and 56% in Biology, alongside 95% or more of students achieving grades 9–4 across all three sciences.

Students also achieved exceptional outcomes in Computer Science, where 63% of grades were at 9–7 and 100% at 9–4 or above, while in Psychology, 65% of grades were awarded at 9–7. Arabic First Language was another area of significant success, with an outstanding 74% of grades at 9–7 and 100% at grades 9–4 or above.

Behind these headline figures is a story that King’s College Doha is equally proud to celebrate: the individual progress made by students from their own starting points. Throughout the GCSE years, teachers work closely with each student to understand their strengths, identify the next steps in their learning and provide the personalised challenge and support needed to help them fulfil their potential.

Kate Jackson, Principal of King’s College Doha, said: “We are incredibly proud of our students and all they have accomplished this year. Their achievements reflect their hard work, determination and ambition, as well as the unwavering support of our families and staff. We congratulate every student and look forward to seeing them thrive in the next stage of their educational journeys.”

Mr Darren Gale, Managing Director, GCC for Cognita Middle East, added: “We are proud of all that the students at King’s College Doha have accomplished this year. Their achievements reflect the dedication of the entire school community and reinforce Cognita’s commitment to supporting every student to thrive and achieve their aspirations. We congratulate the students on this important milestone and wish them every success for the future.”

Mr Justin Chippendale, Director of International Schools for King’s College UK, added: “We are delighted to celebrate the achievements of the students at King’s College Doha. These outcomes reflect our shared commitment to delivering an exceptional British education in Qatar and preparing young people for future success. We congratulate every student and wish them all the very best for the next chapter of their journeys.”

This year’s results come following an exceptional assessment cycle in Qatar, during which alternative assessment arrangements were implemented. Grades were awarded using a broad range of evidence gathered throughout students’ courses, reflecting the sustained effort, achievement and progress demonstrated throughout their studies.

King’s College Doha continues to provide a world-class British education that combines academic excellence with outstanding pastoral care, ensuring students develop the knowledge, skills and character needed to succeed at leading universities and make a positive contribution to the world around them.
