Doha, Qatar (31 October 2026): – Nissan has marked a significant milestone in the global expansion of its NISMO performance brand with the official opening of its first NISMO Performance Centre outside Japan. Located in Melbourne, Australia, the new facility represents an important step in NISMO’s strategy to strengthen its international presence, bringing its motorsport heritage, specialist technical expertise, and performance-focused products and services closer to enthusiasts around the world.
The opening marks the first phase of NISMO’s multi-stage expansion in Australia, announced by Nissan Motorsports & Customizing Co., Ltd. (NMC) and Nissan Oceania. Establishing a direct connection with NISMO’s renowned Omori Factory in Japan, the new centre will provide access to authentic performance and heritage parts, advanced vehicle restoration programs, and factory-certified technical specialists, setting a foundation for NISMO’s continued expansion into priority markets globally.

The Australian program is designed to enhance local access to the wider NISMO ecosystem, spanning performance parts and accessories, heritage support, technical expertise, restoration and customer experiences. The NISMO Performance Centre will play a central role in that strategy, providing Australian enthusiasts with a local point of access to the expertise developed through NISMO’s motorsport and performance operations in Japan.
For owners of Nissan’s most iconic performance vehicles, the centre will also provide a pathway into NISMO’s growing global heritage and restoration activities. In December 2025, NISMO announced plans to significantly expand its global restoration, restomod and parts businesses, initially focusing on the legendary Nissan Skyline GT-R R32, R33 and R34, with additional vehicles and regional programs to follow.
For the Middle East, this global expansion underscores the enduring appeal of the NISMO brand, which boasts a massive and passionate following across the region. NISMO was first introduced to Middle East customers in 2015 with a landmark launch that included the first-ever, region-exclusive Nissan Patrol NISMO, alongside the striking 370Z NISMO and the legendary GT-R NISMO. Today, that track-to-road thrill remains highly accessible, with customers able to experience the pinnacle of Nissan’s performance engineering through the new Patrol NISMO and Z NISMO, currently available across the brand’s partner dealership network in the region.
The strategic growth forms part of a broader evolution of the NISMO brand, including expansion into new markets and segments, growth of its model line-up and a renewed focus on bringing Nissan’s long-established “track to road” philosophy to customers.
