Doha, Qatar – August 2026: As part of its commitment to promoting financial literacy, strengthening community engagement, and inspiring future generations, Dukhan Bank organized its annual Kids at Work Day under the theme “The Little Banker” at its headquarters in Lusail. The initiative offered employees’ children an engaging and educational introduction to the world of banking, technology, and financial services.

Designed to combine learning with hands-on experiences, the initiative gave participating children the opportunity to discover how different areas of the Bank work together while gaining a broader understanding of banking operations and the role technology plays in delivering modern financial services.

Throughout the day, the children took part in a guided tour covering several areas of the Bank, giving them a firsthand look at how different banking functions operate. At the Lusail branch, they observed the branch in action, including tellers carrying out day-to-day transactions and relationship managers interacting with customers. The children also visited the vault for a closer look at this important part of banking operations, before learning about the ATM loading process and card printing process and how these services are delivered securely and efficiently.

The tour also highlighted the technology and infrastructure behind Dukhan Bank’s operations. Participants visited the data center, CCTV room, and the Bank’s Digital Kiosk – Qatar’s first QDI-integrated digital onboarding kiosk – where they learned how customers can open an account through a secure, fully digital, and paperless process. The experience gave the children a closer look at the systems and technologies that support secure, efficient, and increasingly digital banking services.

At the Bank’s Digital Experience Unit, the children took part in a hands-on experience, exploring and interacting with a range of digital devices and tools used across the customer journey[RM1] , including point-of-sale (POS) machines, mobile banking across different devices, and instant card printing. They were also guided through how banking transactions take place end-to-end, with an explanation of the different systems and layers involved in processing them securely and efficiently. The experience gave participants a practical look at how technology supports Dukhan Bank’s digital services and day-to-day banking operations.

Alongside the tour, the day featured a range of educational and interactive activities designed to make financial concepts accessible and engaging for younger participants. Through these activities, the children were introduced to the fundamentals of banking and financial awareness in an environment that encouraged curiosity, participation, and learning.

“The Little Banker” also gave participants an opportunity to better understand their parents’ workplace and the different roles and responsibilities that contribute to the Bank’s operations. By bringing employees and their families closer to the workplace, the initiative reflects Dukhan Bank’s continued focus on fostering a supportive organizational culture while creating meaningful learning experiences for younger generations.

The initiative forms part of Dukhan Bank’s broader commitment to community engagement and financial literacy, as well as its efforts to inspire greater awareness of banking, technology, and innovation among the next generation. Through programs such as “The Little Banker,” the Bank continues to combine education, employee engagement, and community impact in line with its values and its commitment to supporting Qatar’s future generations.
