Doha, Qatar – 4 February 2026: H.E. Sheikh Hamad bin Faisal bin Thani Al Thani, Chairman of QIC, visited the company’s pavilion at Web Summit Qatar 2026.
During the visit, His Excellency was briefed on the Summit’s programme, as well as QIC’s vision for shaping the future of digital services in Qatar and the wider region, as showcased through its participation at the Summit.
H.E. Sheikh Hamad bin Faisal also reviewed the latest developments in the implementation of QIC’s digital strategy, along with the progress achieved to date in the company’s journey toward building the region’s first insurance-powered digital ecosystem, in line with Qatar National Vision 2030 and the Qatar Central Bank’s Third Financial Sector Strategic Plan.
During the visit, His Excellency attended part of the panel discussions hosted at the pavilion, which brought together experts from Qatar and around the world to explore the present and future of innovation and investment in digital ecosystems at both the local and regional levels.
