The International Padel Federation (FIP) is proud to announce that it has officially become a Signatory to the World Anti-Doping Code of the World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA). This achievement follows a long and rigorous process, including a two-year collaboration with the International Testing Agency (ITA), and reflects FIP’s sustained efforts to align its governance, regulations, and anti-doping programme with the highest international standards. Becoming a WADA Code Signatory confirms that FIP fully complies with the requirements set out in the World Anti-Doping Code, placing Padel within the same robust anti-doping frame

The Last Dance, to borrow the title of the famous documentary about Michael Jordan’s final season, is exactly how Ale Salazar imagined this farewell chapter. She wants to compete until the very end, not simply make up the numbers during her final trip around the world before retirement. Just three days ago, Salazar, the most successful player in padel history with 58 career titles, was on court in the final of the FIP Platinum Albania, where she lost to Veronica Virseda and Marina Guinart. Now, however, her focus has already shifted to the BNL Italy Major Premier Padel and Wednesday’s opening match against Giulia Dal Pozzo and Nuria R

In Cancun, the tournament where they reached their first final as a pair, Juan Lebron and Leo Augsburger played for the title after defeating Sanyo Gutierrez and Gonza Alfonso. The final of the Lotto Brussels Premier Padel P2, however, carries a special significance, as it comes against the pair (Chingotto/Galan) that has won the most tournaments in 2026, one of the two pairs that have dominated the circuit since 2024, and against a player – Ale Galan – with whom ‘el Lobo’ has written part of padel history. A double 6-4 victory in one hour and 18 minutes sends Lebron and Augsburger into the final against Arturo Coello and Agustin Tapi

Padel returns under the pyramids. A new tournament on the Premier Padel circuit also brings a new place in the calendar. From October, the Newgiza P2 moves to April: it will be the fifth event of a season that has already delivered strong competition across the first four tournaments held in Asia (Riyadh), Europe (Gijón) and the Americas (Cancún and Miami). The tour now heads to Egypt, where Fede Chingotto and Ale Galán will defend their title; in the women’s event, it was Paula Josemaría and Ari Sánchez who lifted the trophy in 2025. From Mexico to the United States, from Cancún to Miami. There is hardly time to reflect on the emotions of this week, with the finals scheduled for today, as the Premier Padel circuit is already set for another key event.
