The activations add to Qatar‘s diverse summer programme, offering family-friendly experiences for visitors from across the GCC

Qatar Calendar, part of Visit Qatar, has announced the launch of ‘Summer Splash’, a month-long family entertainment experience taking place at Meryal Waterpark Beach from 1 to 30 June 2026. Featuring Nickelodeon’s globally recognised characters from PAW Patrol and SpongeBob SquarePants, the event will bring together immersive entertainment, interactive activities, and live performances in one exciting destination for families and visitors from across the GCC.

Presented by Qatar Calendar, organised by Events & Entertainment Enterprises (E3) in partnership with Paramount and Spin Master, and produced by EventBox, the event forms part of Visit Qatar’s ‘Hala Summer’ campaign. The initiative reflects Visit Qatar’s continued commitment to delivering family-focused experiences that enhance Qatar’s year-round calendar of events and reinforce the country’s position as a preferred summer destination for GCC families seeking accessible and diverse entertainment experiences.

Transforming Meryal Waterpark Beach into a vibrant world inspired by Adventure Bay, the event will feature a wide range of themed activations and immersive experiences. Families can enjoy interactive activities, live stage performances, and memorable photo opportunities inspired by both PAW Patrol and SpongeBob SquarePants, within dedicated air-conditioned themed zones designed to spark creativity, imagination, and unforgettable shared family moments.

The PAW Patrol-themed area will invite guests to meet beloved characters including Chase, Marshall, Rubble, and Skye through daily meet-and-greet sessions. Visitors can also take part in a range of themed activities, including sliding down the iconic Lookout Tower, flying like Skye in an AR trampoline experience, joining Marshall in ‘Fighting Fire with Marshall,’ and exploring the interactive Sea Patroller digital experience.

Meanwhile, the SpongeBob SquarePants experience will feature an interactive live stage show starring SpongeBob, Patrick, Squidward, and other familiar characters. Families can also participate in underwater-themed activities and enjoy special opportunities to meet SpongeBob and Patrick in person. In addition, key outdoor activations will include beach soccer, a volleyball experience, a sand play area, water gun battles, themed tents and beach balls, as well as water inflatable floats across the park pools, all designed to enhance the overall event experience.

The event is free to attend and will take place daily from 18:00 to 23:00 throughout June at Meryal Beach. The activation operates independently from Meryal Waterpark operations and remains unaffected by any waterpark closures. Rixos Premium Qetaifan Island North Hotel guests and Meryal Waterpark ticket holders will enjoy exclusive priority access to the first session from 16:00 to 18:00, while general public walk-in visitors will be welcomed free of charge from 18:00 onwards until closing, with access organised in two-hour timed sessions.

As part of Visit Qatar’s wider ‘Hala Summer’ programme, Qatar continues to offer GCC travellers a seamless summer getaway combining entertainment, hospitality, leisure, family-friendly attractions, and exclusive offers, including the Kids Go Free offer. ‘Summer Splash’ further enriches the country’s seasonal calendar, providing families with a unique opportunity to enjoy internationally recognised entertainment experiences during the summer period.
