Dubai, UAE — 28 September 2026 — MCP Dubai, an independent open-source project maintained by Dubai-based software developer Mahdi Salmanzade, provides a local interface for connecting AI assistants to Dubai and UAE public data and curated business setup knowledge.
The current github source offers 120 tools across 37 features through the Model Context Protocol (MCP). Coverage includes weather, prayer times, currency conversion, locations, public dataset discovery, free zones, visas, banking, and Arabic/English business writing.
The project runs locally over stdio using Python 3.11 or newer and is available under the MIT license. It can be connected to MCP-compatible clients including Claude Desktop, Cursor, VS Code and Windsurf. Structured results carry source and freshness metadata where available, helping users identify the scope and date of the underlying information.
In the current source, 112 tools require no credentials. Government dataset queries require the relevant access credentials, and some public integrations depend on upstream availability. The published PyPI package is an earlier release with 91 tools; the repository documents installation from source for the current catalogue.
MCP Dubai is a community contribution, unaffiliated with the Government of Dubai, the UAE government or the agencies whose data it uses. Business guidance is reference information; users should check linked official sources before making decisions.
