Doha, <a href="https://gulfeyenews.com/qatar-calendar-presents-a-diverse-range-of-family-cultural-and-sporting-events-throughout-august/”>Qatar, 9 August 2026 – Education Above All (EAA) Foundation, a global foundation for education and development, and Al Sadd Sports Club have renewed their collaboration agreement for the 2026/2027 sports season, reaffirming their shared commitment to leveraging sport as a powerful community platform to support education, inspire children and youth, and promote the values of participation, empowerment and social responsibility.

The renewal builds on the existing collaboration between the two organisations and reflects a shared belief that football extends beyond competition on the pitch. With its ability to bring communities together, build trust and inspire new generations to learn, aspire and engage positively, football provides a unique platform to raise awareness of education-related issues and the right of children and youth to access safe, inclusive and quality learning opportunities.

Through this collaboration, EAA Foundation and Al Sadd Sports Club aim to harness the broad public reach of football to highlight education as a fundamental right and a pathway to human development. The partnership will also support the engagement of children and youth in activities that connect sport and learning, while promoting teamwork, discipline, resilience and equal opportunity.

Commenting on the renewal, Mohammed Saad Al Kubaisi, Chief Executive Officer of Education Above All Foundation, said: “Renewing our collaboration with Al Sadd Sports Club represents an important step in using the power of sport to serve education and empower children and youth. Sport is a universal language that can inspire and build bridges, and when connected with education, it becomes an effective tool to open new horizons for future generations. Through this partnership, we continue to raise awareness of every child’s right to education and create opportunities for children and youth to learn, grow and participate confidently in their communities.”

His Excellency Sheikh Khalifa Bin Khalid Al Thani, CEO of Al Sadd Club Company, said: “We are proud to renew our collaboration with Education Above All Foundation. This partnership reflects Al Sadd’s belief that sport, and football in particular, carries a message that goes beyond the boundaries of the pitch. Through its ability to inspire young people, promote positive values and support initiatives that create meaningful impact in society, football can play an important role in community development. We look forward to continuing our work with the Foundation during the new season in a way that serves children and youth and strengthens the culture of social responsibility.

The renewal reflects the commitment of both organisations to build on previous progress and explore further opportunities that connect education, sport and community engagement. It also strengthens the visibility of education issues in the public sphere and provides children and youth with positive role models who can inspire them to continue learning and realise their full potential.

Through its local and international partnerships, EAA Foundation continues to work to improve access to quality education for vulnerable and marginalised communities, protect the right to education, and mobilise public support for education around the world. Its collaboration with Al Sadd Sports Club forms part of this approach, underscoring the importance of national partnerships in raising awareness, expanding participation and transforming sport into a force for positive impact.
