    Building on the momentum of Qatar’s vibrant summer season, the July edition of the Qatar Calendar showcases a rich and diverse programme of events from live FIFA World Cup 2026 screenings and international sports qualifiers to creative summer camps, family festivals, and cultural exhibitions.

    Conveniently accessible by air and land, Qatar continues to strengthen its position as one of the region’s leading family-friendly destinations, combining world-class entertainment, cultural attractions and sporting experiences within a compact destination. Whether planning a weekend getaway or an extended summer holiday, visitors from across the GCC can enjoy a diverse programme designed for all ages throughout the month.

    Complementing the month’s programme, Visit Qatar’s Hala Summer campaign continues through to September 2026, bringing together exclusive offers and seasonal experiences across the destination. A key highlight is the Kids Go Free offer, allowing children under 12 to enjoy complimentary benefits across participating accommodation, dining and key attractions, adding an even greater value for visiting families.

    July promises a spectacular line-up of family-friendly events, with the Qatar Toy Festival at the Doha Exhibition and Convention Centre from 1 to 31 July. Complementing this, Qatar Toy Festival’s Summer Camp runs from 5 to 30 July at the Doha Exhibition and Convention Centre, now in its second successful year, welcoming children aged 4 to 12 and pre-teens to a vibrant programme of creativity, exploration, and fun.

    Families can also enjoy the Family Summer Shopping Exhibition 2026 at Katara Hall, Katara Cultural Village, from 27 June to 3 July, combining shopping, entertainment, and family-friendly experiences in one destination.

    The ColorVerse Experience launches on 15 July at Katara South Parking, running through to 15 September, invites visitors into an immersive, interactive world of colour and adventure. Families can also head to The Hangout at Msheireb Galleria from 18 June on the first floor of Msheireb Downtown Doha, a social destination open until 15 August, designed for relaxing, dining, playing, and spending quality time with loved ones throughout the summer.

    For young explorers, Summer Kids Explorers at Raffles Doha 12 July to 13 August promises a summer of arts, crafts, cooking sessions, and exciting adventures for young explorers. The Msheireb Museums Summer Program at Bin Jalmoud House, Msheireb Downtown Doha 6 July to 13 August offers creative workshops and new experiences for all age groups, while OliOli®️ Summer Camps at OliOli Children’s Museum run from 28 June to 27 August with jaw-dropping experiments and surprising discoveries that spark curiosity and wonder. Dana Club Summer Camp 2026 starts from 22 June running until 31 August, blending fitness, creativity, and fun in a safe and nurturing environment.

    Sports enthusiasts are in for an action-packed month, with the FIFA World CupTM 2026 Activations at Mall of Qatar offering residents and visitors the chance to watch the tournament live on giant screens free of charge until 19 July. Bringing international basketball to Lusail Sports Hall, the FIBA World Cup 2027 Qualifiers – W3 runs from 29 June to 7 July, while the Sports for All Summer Camp 2026 takes place at the same venue from 29 June to 9 July, encouraging active participation across all ages.

    Beat the Heat, a summer race and fitness series designed to keep the community active during Qatar’s hottest months, launches on 1 July and continues through to 15 September across a variety of indoor and climate-controlled venues.

    Young footballers can look forward to the PSG Academy Summer Camp, running from 28 July to 27 August at University of Doha for Science and Technology, Tariq bin Ziad School, and Lyce Voltaire, offering participants the chance to train with one of the world’s most celebrated football academies. The Aspire Summer Camp returns from 5 to 30 July at the Ladies Sports Hall, Aspire Dome, and Hamad Aquatic Centre, while Al Khor Knights Summer Camp 2026 offers a comprehensive programme for boys aged 8 to 18 at Al Khor Sports Club from 5 July to 19 August, incorporating sports, cultural, educational, and religious activities alongside field trips and recreational programmes. Gaming enthusiasts can compete in the Virtuocity Battleground 2026 at Virtuocity, Doha Festival City, from 14 July to 27 August.

    July also stands out as a rich month for culture and the arts. The Exhibition of Cultural Olympiad Competition, on display at the Qatar Olympic and Sports Museum from 22 June to 31 August, celebrates the creativity of the 321 Cultural Olympiad 2026 winners in a vibrant showcase of global talent and innovation. As part of the summer camp in collaboration with the Qatar Auto Museum, the Workshop: ‘I See Something You Don’t: The Car of Your Dreams’ at the Qatar Olympic and Sports Museum 19 to 30 July invites children to design and create their own paper car models.

    The Museum of Islamic Art hosts two enriching workshops during the month: the Ruq’ah Calligraphy (Intermediate) workshop, offered every Saturday from 4 to 25 July for those wishing to learn the last style of calligraphy developed by the Ottomans, and a one-day Workshop: Geometry for Teens on 13 July and 14 July, exploring the origins of geometric design in the Islamic world.

    Qatar Museums continues to present a range of inspiring ongoing exhibitions, including Countryside: A Place to Live, Not to Leave at Qatar Preparatory School and the National Museum of Qatar which will continue until September 2026.

    Visitors can also discover A Sneak Peek at the Qatar Auto Museum Project at the National Museum of Qatar’s Mawater Gallery, offering an early glimpse into the stories and engineering excellence that will shape the future museum’s collection running until 2 February 2027, alongside Resolutions: Evolving Realities at Mathaf: Arab Museum of Modern Art, on view until 8 August.

    On the retail and exhibitions front, the 3rd Pakistani Mango Exhibition returns to Souq Waqif from 9 to 18 July, showcasing premium mangoes and mango products from Pakistan. The ‘Tunisian Postal Service – History and Stamps’ Exhibition continues at Building 22 at Katara Cultural Village. The Doha Summer Trade Fair concludes its run on 4 July, and the 13th Edition of the Teeb AlHazm Oud & Perfumes Exhibition wraps up at AlHazm Galleria on 4 July, bringing together the finest fragrances and luxury brands in one destination.

    Together, these events reinforce Qatar’s position as a leading summer destination for GCC travellers, offering a diverse programme of world-class entertainment, culture, sport and family experiences within easy reach. With its compact destination, seamless connectivity and calendar of events throughout the season, Qatar continues to provide visitors with memorable experiences for every member of the family.
