    Ahlibank Reports Net Profit of QAR 407 Million for the First Half of 2026

    Doha, Qatar – xx July, 2026: Ahli Bank Q.P.S.C. (The “Bank”) announced its financial results for the six months ended 30 June 2026, reporting a net profit of QAR 407 million compared to QAR 402 million for the corresponding period in 2025, representing an increase of 1.2%.

    Commenting on the results, Mr. Hassan Ahmed AlEfrangi, Ahlibank’s Chief Executive Officer, said: “The Bank delivered a steady performance during the first half of 2026, reflecting disciplined execution of our strategy, and continued focus on serving our customers. Despite the evolving operating environment, we continued to strengthen our business banking initiatives while maintaining, strong capitalization and a good loan growth.’

    Mr. AlEfrangi added: “Throughout the period, we continued to invest in digital banking capabilities, The retail focus on digitalization and distribution channels is designed to improve efficiency, increase revenue and optimize costs.,We also enhanced our products and services across retail and corporate banking. These initiatives position the Bank to deliver sustainable growth and long-term value for our shareholders and customers.”

    Commenting on the financial results, H

    E. Sheikh Faisal Bin AbdulAziz Bin Jassem Al-Thani, Chairman of Ahlibank, said: “The Bank is focused on executing its long-term strategy., Notwithstanding the geopolitical developments, the Bank remains well positioned in contributing to Qatar’s continued economic development.”

    An important milestone was crossed during June 2026, when Moody’s reaffirmed the ABQ’s long-term local and foreign currency deposit ratings as A2 with stable outlook.  Fitch has also maintained Long-Term Issuer Default Rating (IDR) of ‘A’, reflecting international confidence in the Bank’s solid financial position, sound governance, and strong ability to meet its obligation.

    The Rating Watch Negative (RWN) by Fitch is aligned to that on the Qatari sovereign rating and all Qatari Banks

    He concluded: ‘On behalf of the Board, we thank the Qatar Central Bank for its guidance and support during this time and enabling the banking sector to meet the various challenges.’-

    Doha – July 21, 2026: An advanced, minimally invasive, incisionless procedure for treating gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD) was the topic for discussion at Weill Cornell Medicine-Qatar’s (WCM-Q) Grand Rounds Live Webinar Series. The procedure, called transoral endoscopic fundoplication (TIF), involves passing an endoscope and a specialized probe down the patient’s throat into the stomach in order to repair the valve between the esophagus and the stomach, thus preventing acid reflux.
